Assistant to the Executive Pastor (FT)

This position provides support to the Executive Pastor in all areas of ministry, staff development, and leadership and assists in proclaiming the message of the gospel to members and visitors of the church in order to fulfill Bay Area Church’s vision to saturate the 4-B Area with the gospel by restoring people, families, and churches.

This full-time staff position works 32 hours each week between Sunday and Thursday. Work typically occurs during church office hours (8:30 AM to 4:30 PM) and Sunday morning worship services.

Compensation will depend on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in administrative support or ministry assistance role preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant software applications.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and needs within the ministry
  • Passion for missions, serving others, and a desire to support the spread of the Gospel

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the Executive Pastor, including managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and handling correspondence. Assist with travel arrangements, expense reports, and other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Communication and Coordination: Serve as a point of contact for inquiries and communication between the Executive Pastor, staff, volunteers, and congregation members. Ensure timely and accurate dissemination of information and follow-up on action items.
  • Project Management: Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of special projects, events, and initiatives led by the Executive Pastor. Help manage timelines, resources, and logistics to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Data Management: Maintain and organize records, files, and databases related to ministry activities, personnel, and resources. Compile reports, presentations, and other materials as requested by the Executive Pastor.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other ministry leaders and support staff to facilitate communication and coordination across departments. Assist in facilitating meetings, retreats, and training sessions as needed.
  • Confidentiality and Discretion: Handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and professionalism. Uphold confidentiality protocols and maintain a high level of trust and integrity in all interactions.

Bay Area Church is a mission-focused organization committed to sharing the love of Christ locally and globally. We are seeking a dedicated, organized, and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Missions Ministry Assistant. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting our missions efforts and helping to advance God’s kingdom purposes in the local 4B area and beyond.

This flexible, part-time staff position works 15-20 hours each week between Monday and Thursday. Work typically occurs during church office hours (8:30 AM to 4:30 PM) and occasional Sunday morning worship services. Tuesdays are required due to ministry staff meetings. Compensation will depend on qualifications and experience.

  • Communications and Outreach: Serve as a point of contact for missions and Common Needs inquiries and communication, both internally within the church and externally with kingdom partners and organizations. Help facilitate communication and coordination of mission trips, events, and activities.
  • Mission Trip Coordination: Assist in planning, organizing, and coordinating mission trips, including logistics, travel arrangements, team communication, and fundraising support. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to mission trip participants, finances, and resources.
  • Resource Management: Help manage resources and supplies related to missions activities, including mission trip supplies, promotional materials, and support resources for missionaries and partners. Coordinate inventory, ordering, and distribution as needed.
  • Data Management: Maintain and update databases, spreadsheets, and other records related to missions activities, including kingdom partners, supporters, and financial contributions. Assist in generating reports, presentations, and communications related to missions efforts.
  • Event Planning and Support: Assist in planning and executing missions-related events, fundraisers, and awareness campaigns. Provide logistical support, coordinate volunteers, and help ensure successful outcomes for mission-focused activities.
Kids Ministry Nursery Workers (PT)

We’re looking for a few individuals to assist our Kids Ministry team with occasional childcare needs at the church. Great opportunity for anyone who loves children, wants to serve on a Christ-centered team, and enjoys sharing the Gospel with little ones! 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in teaching Bible-based curriculum

• Follow cleaning protocol throughout the shift to keep interactive areas sanitary and safe

• Monitor and interact with children during all activities to ensure the safety of all children

Depending on your schedule availability and the ministry’s needs, shifts may include: Tuesday evenings (during Care Ministry groups), Wednesday evenings (during Midweek), Saturdays (special events), Sundays (AM worship services, special events)
